Our Goals

Jewish Heritage Journeys” offers a fun, authentic, and convenient way for children and their families to engage in their heritage.

A Foundation

By the end of the 12 week course, students will have an understanding of important Jewish concepts, growing in confidence and pride as they learn about what it means to be Jewish.

A Source of Pride

Parents will “Shlep Nachas” as their children bring home their learning to share and experience with their family, enjoying a happy pride in their childrens’ accomplishments.

Your Heritage as a Beacon of Strength and Stability

Learning and experiencing our Jewish Heritage serves as a doorway to lifelong exploration and growth and provides a warm “home base” for navigating an increasingly complicated world.

מצוה גוררת מצוה

“One Mitzvah brings another Mitzvah in its train”

Every Member of the Jewish People deserves the opportunity to experience their heritage in an authentic way.

Family bonds are precious and should be nurtured through learning and shared experience.

What Makes “JHJ” Unique?

Jewish education for busy families through engaging online classes and Jewish experiences.

Family Involvement Activities

Encouraging families to participate in weekly activities to enrich their Jewish learning experience.

Bar & Bat Mitzvah Prep

Providing a strong foundation for students before their Bar and Bat Mitzvah training.

Community of Learners

Join a vibrant community to explore and share Jewish heritage with others worldwide.

“Call To Action”

The emphasis on bringing home the knowledge and insights gained during classes is one of the things that make “Jewish Heritage Journey” unique.

Each class concludes with a “Call To Action” - an activity or idea related to the session’s theme to experience and share at home. We provide the activity. Feel free to participate as you’d like and enjoy as a family together.

At the beginning of each class, we check in with those students who would like to share with the group their experience with the “Call to Action” of the past week.

Examples of “Call to Action” activities include:

Creating a Tzedaka Box and deciding as a family where to give your Tzedaka

Cooking a Kosher meal together

Learning Torah together at the dinner table

Including elements of Shabbat together as a family

.

Our Program is right for:

Families who want to ensure a lasting connection to their heritage.

Busy students who may not have time to attend in-person Hebrew School or Day School.

Families who want to have their children participate in a warm and nurturing Jewish environment in a convenient online format.

Families who would like opportunities to share in their children’s learning and growing.

Families who want their children to have a meaningful Jewish experience years in advance of their Bar and Bat Mitzvah.
